They acquire without removing. They grow without maintenance. They add excitation
without matched inhibition. Then they accumulate debt, lose flexibility, and fail the
way damaged brains fail.
LIMEN Helix maps neural dynamics onto business and civilization systems using
structural homology, not metaphor. It builds the inhibition, extinction and clearance
mechanisms in from the start, so an organization’s failure modes are visible and
recoverable.

Not an illustration. This is what the system is saying about the Energy domain right
now, pulled from this page as you read it.

Thalamic gating: Ferrarelli & Tononi, Schizophrenia Bulletin,
2010 — what reaches attention, and what is filtered out before it does.
The same named failure mode, in neural tissue and in a power grid, with the
regulatory partner identified and its presence or absence stated. That is what
“homology, not metaphor” has to mean to be worth anything.
What it does
Detects and names pathology. Gating failures, disinhibition, oscillatory
pathology, seizure-like runaway, incomplete circuits. There is no autonomous
correction: a human reads the diagnosis and decides.
Routes decisions through a hierarchy that preserves the brain’s
feedforward and feedback lamination, and thalamic gating for filtering. Prevents both
flooding and starvation.
Learns only from verified outcomes, not self-report. Its validated scorer
returns nothing at all rather than a plausible number it cannot stand behind. Silence
instead of noise.
Scales time constants across neural, business and civilization while
preserving the parameter ratios — the fractal invariant.
Twenty domain units feeding one integration layer over an inter-brain bus,
with cron-driven consolidation. Each domain is a brain, not a silo.
What it is being built to do
Transfer cross-domain integration from the operator into the substrate.
Today a human still holds that loop and reweights by hand when one domain contradicts
another. Moving it into the system is the long goal, and it is not done.
Consolidate offline. The cycles run, in shadow and observe-only.
Execute gated actions. Action selection is dark-armed and stays that way
until the loop is proven on a single domain against ground truth.
Current state
Live now: twenty domain units running; cron-driven consolidation firing on
schedule; deployed with durable persistence; the validated scorer returning verified
outcomes only.
Not finished, and said plainly: partially built. The integration transfer is
staged, not delivered. Execution gates remain observe-only by design rather than by
accident.
